April 2009 - Steyning Country Fair 2009
The planning is complete and all the things are coming into place. The Fair will
be going ahead this year despite the economic problems being faced by everyone.
A little bit of fun and cheer to look forward to on a glorious bank holiday Monday.

May 2008 - Steyning Country Fair 2008
Some tough decisions had to be made this year when the rain was pouring down early
in the morning as the Fair was setting up. The committee decided to go ahead but
cancelled some of the outside events and moved others in doors.
The day went ahead and those who turned up had a good time as it was dry for most
of the day. We are not yet sure if the day was a financial loss but I'm sure it
will be a close call.
A Very Big Thank You to all of you that attended and supported
the event and also for all the volunteers that gave an enormous amount of their
time to make this event happen again.

Januray 2008 - Steyning Country Fair 2008
Following on from the success of the fair in May 2007, the committee have been busy
planning for the fair at the end of May 2008. Plans are going well and we hope to
have an interesting array of traditional products on sale with some new faces too.
We are already taking bookings for stalls for the 26th May 2008. As always the high
street in Steyning will be closed on the May bank holiday and we will have traditional
local products for sale, entertainment and the local farmer's livestock on show,
subject to foot & mouth restrictions. We are expecting to have around 10,000
people attending this year to enjoy the festivities. The cost of running this fair
increases each year and we are actively seeking sponsorship and contributions from
people and businesses in the area. We need to get the fair onto a secure financial
footing to enable us to develop the programme and entertainment available.
The committee is made up of volunteers from the local community and we are dedicated
to making this a great event for all the people of Steyning. If you are interested
in having a stall, or would like help with sponsorship then please do not hesitate

WOW! What a day!
The coldest day in May on record and yet a good number of people turned out to support
the fair. I think everyone managed to find something to enjoy and had a good day
despite the weather.
